Immerse youself in the wet and salty waves of Radio Marinara!

We've covered some pretty exotic dive locations on Radio Marinara over the years, but Oman has not been one of them. This will be remedied this Sunday when Dave Kerr joins us to talk about his recent trip to the Middle East to dive in the waters of Oman. He also will be providing an update about Peak oil and impacts on the Persian Gulf. And if that wasn't enough, some stories about a captive whale shark called Sammy.

This weekend some of Australia's best and brightest briny boffins are converging on sunny Queenscliff to talk about their chosen marine and coastal thesis topics at this year's Australian Marine Sciences Association Postgraduate Conference. Our own John Ford will be there, and will cover some of the current hot topics of research in our tertiary institutions.

Plus loads of news including the Lousiana oil spill, the International Whaling Commission and that of spoken of Great Ocean Road foodies book.
