Ed Mc Farlane speaks to Clem Bastow on the phone from England, about Friendly Fires self titled album, Jessica Nicholls from The Village has a chat to talented jazz musician Boz Brossman, who gives a music lesson of sorts, about the various  betas and rhythms from different countries, like Africa, which was a huge influence on him and the new album.

To finish up, a lengthy interview from Brian Wise, who had special guests Tim Rogers and Davey Lane from U am I in the studio.  They lads talked about their new eight studio album, Dilettantes, and the recording process.

Elizabeth and Dave on Banana Lounge Broadcasting chat with Mick Harvey about the new TV series of Great Australian Albums, which includes an episode on the Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds album, Murder Ballads.

Charlie Todd and Nick Barker are with Neil Rogers on The Australian Mood, talking about the compilation release of The Wreckery, titled Past Imperfect. 

And saving the most anticipated interview until last, we finish on Steve Wide's interview with the Modfather, Paul Weller, on Far & Wide, where they talk about the making of Weller's latest album, 22 Dreams, and his impressive career. 

Clem Bastow's Transference had the ladies from The Breeders, Kim and Kelly Deal, on her show this week; and they got raving about the digital vs analog recording debate, and about their new album, Mountain Battles.

Richard Moffat from the Australian only music show, Incoming, spoke to local lads, Car Stereo wars, about their debut record, and the history of the band.

To finish up this week, Melbourne based musician Mark Barrage caught up with Lauren and Simon on the new release program, Breaking and Entering.
He talked about his new album, and his most recent spate of live performances.

Lauren from Breaking and Entering caught up at the Prince of Wales bar with Chris Thompson from Vampire Weekend, and talked about their new album, and the role of the internet on the band's success.

Wally Meanie also dropped into the studio on Livewire, to sit in with the show's regulars, Rosemary, Paul, Glen and Jen.  He talked about his long lost pal Tasman Blizzard, guitarist from The Meanies and Geelong band from the early 90's, The Seaweed Gorillas, and pays tribute to him.

To finish up, on Spoke this week, Michelle Bennett had musician Tamas Wells on her show, who is back from his now second home in Burma.

First up, on Breaking and Entering, Richard and Lawrence speak to Simon and Lauren about being asked by Icelandic band, Sigur Ros, to join them on their national tour.........meanwhile, we finish up with local lad Mickster, who owns and runs the terrific garage label, Off the Hip records.  He tells us about some new compilations on the way, and about his very own band, The Finkers.

Adalita from Geelong's Magic Dirrt have hit their 11th hour.....their spankin' new album entitled Grrl is a killer.  She sat in as a guest on Transference with Clem Bastow, and talked about the past, the future and the now.

Next, Casy Westcott from the Seattle folk rock band Fleet Foxes spoke to Simon and Lauren on one of Teriple R's newest shows, that tracks all the best new releases, Breaking and Entering.

 

We finish with Australian band redsunband who appeared on Richard Moffat's Australian music program, Incoming.

 

 

This week we hear from Melbourne singer-songwriter, Kristy Lewis, who catches up with Seam Simmons on Local and/or General.  She chats about her past projects and her solo efforts with her band, The Wretched.

Also, Against the Arct'c declan Kelly spoke to the man who is The BUG aka Kevin Martin.  He featured on other industrial noise works  God and Techno Animal.

And, to finish up, gary Seven from the Chicken Mary show caught up with Paul Bignall from local band The Detonators.  They talked about the band's new live album, and their recent spart of shows.

This week  on the Best of Music Interviews, Omar from The Mars Volta spoke to Woody on Wig-Wam Bam about his various projects and influences, and Kimya Dawson chatted with the Banana Lounge Broadcasters, Elizabeth and Dave, about how she hooked up with collaborator Adam Green, the New York Anti-Folk scene, playing the smaller venues, as well as sharing a story about Axl Rose’s guru.

Locally, Joelistics and Seed MC from TZU had a bit of a rave with Richard on Incoming about Juno-106 synths, old movies, working with Renee Geyer and their new album, Computer Love.

Also, Adelaide folk artist and singer-songwriter Krista Polvere speaks with Richard Moffat on Incoming about her new album 'Here Be Dragons'.
