On this episode of Film Buff's Forecast, Peter Kemp and Nick Matteo have been to the Lavazza Italian Film Festival.  Films they reviewed were  Assola (Solo), Un Bacio (One Kiss).  The festival is screening at Palace Cinemas until 9 October.  The guys also chat about the new Beatles documentary 8 Days A Week, directed by Ron Howard, is now screening.

Paul talks to long time Filmbuffs reviewer Ian Thompson about shutting up shop at Video Zone in North Carlton.  

Nick Matteo jumps on the phone with director Fenton Bailey about his new documentary on Robert Mapplethorpe, Look At the Pictures.  The film screens at ACMI until 11 October.

Brian McFarlane reviews the new Australian film Spin Out, written by Tim Ferguson and starring Xavier Samuel and Morgan Griffin.

Paul speaks with Billy O'Brien, director of I Am Not A Serial Killer, screening at the Lido and Classic cinemas.
