First guests (via Skype) - Prof. Emma
Johnson from the School of Biological Sciences at UNSW who
talks about what she studies
and the tools used to study them, the coral reef bleaching and
gender equality in tertiary institutions.
Dr Ailie and Dr Jen focus on gender and diversity issues in the
workplace, and
specifically in education and research. What are the statistics,
why does it
matter and unconcious bias.
Second Guest (via Skype) - Lisa
Harvey-Smith from CSIRO's Astronomy and Space Science Division
talks about her research and latest results using the CSIRO's new
pathfinder telescope and her involvement with the Gene Cernan
series of shows.
The team wrap-up with what can be done to address gender imbalances.
