What a top Melbourne winter's day! And even more so as La Luna Bistro's UberChef Adrian Richardson joined us in the studio to spruik his rather excellent new book The Good Life. The book is a result of Adrian trying to get back to basics in his food life - simple "home style" food that can be prepared easily when you have some time to spare in the kitchen. Home cooking really should be about spending time enjoying it! Try making items you'd usually buy pre-prepared ("store bought pastry tastes like crap"), and harness any kitchen gizmos you may have to make the process easier.

We also had a market report from John at the Vic Markets, who was enjoying the sun on his back.

Finally we spoke to David and Karen Golding from Red Hill Brewery about how they found themselves running an increasingly popular brewery on the Mornington Peninsula. If you haven't already tracked down some Red Hll Golden Ale for a taste, you oughta, as it is also made using brewery-grown hops and house-made wort. If you feel like trying to brewing yourself it's a good time of year, as the ambient temperature is far better than what you'd be fighting when brewing in the height of summer.
