Back to normal post-Radiothon, and this week we started with a market report from John at the Queen Vic, on a pretty sultry Sunday... Spring is just about here!

We devoted the rest of the show to an extended chat with Ruth Reichl, who was visiting Melbourne as part of the Melbourne Writer's Festival. Ruth has been writing about restaurants and the food business since the early 70s, and is perhaps best known for her stints as restaurant critic at the New York Times as well as editing USA's Gourmet magazine. We spoke about how best to describe food, the changes she's seen over so many yearts covering the industry, and what she thinks of Melbourne 24 hours into her stay.
